Highmark Movie Night: Disability, Power, and Community
Join us in a movie night and discussion! On Friday May 12th at 6pm, we will be watching Crip Camp*, a 2020 documentary highlighting the disability rights movement in the 60s and 70s, community, organizing, and the intersections of peace and justice work. Co-produced by Barack and Michelle Obama, this documentary reminds us of the revolutionary leaders and groups mobilizing around justice – work we are continuing to center.
Refreshments will be available- donations are encouraged!
*This film does have an R rating, so please be aware of sexual and explicit language and some potentially triggering scenes of neglect.
